Amanda Weber is the Database/Membership Coordinator on the Executive Board of The Bands of Claudia Taylor Johnson Foundation. Amanda has a Master’s in Business Administration and worked in accounting for 8 years prior to moving to San Antonio. Amanda moved to San Antonio in 2014 with her husband, JC Weber, and two boys. They moved into the Johnson School District and became family members of the Claudia Taylor Johnson High School Band right away.
Amanda’s two boys, Colton and Garrett Weber, were percussionists. Amanda volunteered as the percussion parent liaison her first year in 2014 for the Johnson High School band and then became one of the Co-Head Chaperones from 2015-2018. Therefore, Amanda served on the Claudia Taylor Johnson Band Parents Association Board from 2015-2018 as the VP of Performance. Amanda volunteered with serving meals, helping crew build props, assisted with events such as the Spaghetti Dinner, Craft Fair, Mulch Fundraiser, and volunteered for many UIL and BOA events.
After Amanda’s youngest graduated high school, she became the Administrative Assistant to the Johnson High School band directors for all of 2019. Amanda and JC were then transferred for JC’s job to Jakarta, Indonesia for a little over a year. Once they returned in 2021, they become members of The Bands of CTJ Foundation. Amanda has been involved with many non-profit organizations and served on numerous boards throughout the last 10 years.
Amanda has a passion for working with children. She was in band during high school and understands the positive impact of the program on many children. While working within the CTJ program as a head chaperone and administrative assistant, she developed a stronger understanding from all sides of the importance of continued support. Band is a second home to many, it is comfort in consistency, it is development in leadership, it is development in life, and it is family. Amanda hopes to continue to be able to support the CTJ “cluster” through The Bands of Claudia Taylor Johnson Foundation.
